About the event
Evan McMullin, candidate for the US Senate, will offer brief remarks and respond to participant questions and comments. He wants voters to get to know him—and he wants to get to know you.
Evan McMullin is not afiliated with any political party; while some mistake his independence with Libertarianism or with right-wing extremism, his label as an Independent is straightforward shorthand for his being beholden to no political party. He is running to be the next US Senator from the state of Utah so he can represent ALL Utahns and, in the process, repair some of the damage done to our nation by an emboldened and extremist minority. Having failed to derail Trump's campaign for office in 2016, McMullin has now committed to a race he can win and is determined to win—with our help.
David Muir, candidate for Salt Lake County Auditor, will introduce himself and talk about the important role of auditor. The wellbeing of our communities depends upon their being managed in an open, honest, and responsible way—David Muir is a member of the United Utah Party (UUP) and is driven by a desire to return governing to government.
